Red is such an aggressive color.
And red weather makes Eiko a sad panda.

Red is such an aggressive color.
And red weather makes Eiko a sad panda.

Here’s the probem:
(1) I’ll be in the US from September-January. There will be two periods: (a) working from September-December at University, (b) travelling on my own in January.
(2) When you work at University as a scholar, you have to take the University Health Insurance unless you can proof that your own insurance covers for everything (so-called “waiver”). German international health insurances don’t cover for everything that is required.
(3) When you enter the US, you need to have health insurance which is valid in the US. That means although I will be forced to take University health insurance, I will have to make a contract nonetheless to get international health insurance because University will not insure me before I actually talked to them in person (a few days after I enter the US).
(4) Covering for the first couple of days is no problem and not too costly. The problem is January, when University will not cover for me anymore. It is not possible to get an international health insurance for only that period of time, they force you to take it for the whole duration of your stay (September to January) – so they told me in emails and on the phone repeatedly. Therefor the solution September (German international health insurance), October-December (University health insurance), January (German international health insurance) is not possible.
(5) I cannot afford to pay two health insurances at the same time.
Solution?
I finally managed to get my TheUntappedSource profile up to date. I am currently featured there with over 30 photographs.
As many of you know I will be leaving Berlin soon to live in Ann Arbor for 5 months. I want to clean up my flat, and one obstacle are the prints and frames still standing around from the last exhibition. If you don’t know what I’m talking about: here’s a summary and plenty of photographs of the exhibition.
So, dear people, please give me a hand and take the prints and frames which are still standing around. If you like a print, drop me a request and I tell you how incredibly cheap the photographs are (torvon[AT]gmail[DOT]com). If there are prices listed on the following links, ignore them.
Medium prints (photograph 45×30, black frame 60×45, white passepartout)

Pros
Cons
Many of you wrote me that you would have liked to join, but unfortunately Berlin is not everybody’s hometown. Here is some proof that I didn’t make the whole thing up.
I took some of the shots myself, many of the pictures below were taken by my father and the lovely Andrea though.
270kg of frames … thanks to Magnus for helping to carry the stuff.

Photographs + Passepartouts + Frames + Perfectionism = quite some work

Finished!

Everything neatly wrapped up again for the transport
